A native of Iowa, Louisiana, Pastor John has served alongside Debbie, his wife of over 47 years, as lead pastor to the congregation of Lake Charles First Church of the Nazarene since 2014.
John & Debbie have 3 grown children, and are grandparents to 5.
Rev. Ron Sherer
Associate Pastor
You can almost always find Bro. Ron and his wife Linda engaged in whatever needs to be done around the church with a smile on their faces. He previously pastored other churches in the area, most recently Sulphur Church of the Nazarene, before coming to Lake Charles First in 2015.
Ron and Linda have four grown children, as well as 8 grandchildren.
Emily Gaskin
Children’s Director
Emily is no stranger to the area or to church work – she is a native of Sulphur, and a preacher’s kid; she has been handling our Children’s Department since 2017.
Emily makes her home in Sulphur with her husband Seth, and their four children.
